Branding Yourself

Developing your personal brand online is one of the most important areas in developing your network attraction marketing business.

Think about it from your point of view….

When someone first comes online to learn network attraction marketing they look for a leader. Someone with authority. If they find a video of you on youtube, they might click on the link next to the video…. go through to your blog which has a link to your Facebook or Myspace account listed on it.

They then make friends with you on Facebook and see how active you are. They look at your newsfeed, watch a few of your videos, check out some of the comments you've made on people's walls, and status updates…. they become a fan of your Facebook fan page and watch you over the next few weeks.

You are slowly starting to brand yourself online. People recognise your name, they know who you are, they read your content and watch your videos. It's very important to stand out from the crowd and become a leader in your own right.

Once you are able to do this, you will start to attract people to you like crazy.

Let's take Mike Dillard as an example.

Mike has over 5 different products related to attraction network marketing, he has numerous websites and blogs, profiles on all the major social networking sites, youtube accounts, betternetworker.com, magneticsponsoring.com etc etc…

He has branded himself online and he is seen as one of the big leaders in the industry. There are also thousands of smaller examples of people branding themselves online.

I use Facebook as part of my personal branding strategy. Here's a few things I do on Facebook on a regular basis.

• Comment on people's statuses
• Comment on people's walls and in groups
• Make new friends
• Welcome my new friends with my welcome video strategy
• Wish my friends a happy birthday with my happy birthday video strategy
• Upload video's to Facebook
• Tag some of my friends in the video's
• Create a buzz on Facebook
• Import my blog posts into my notes
• Write and add content to my Fan Page
• Build relationships with other network marketers
• Share links with my Facebook friends and followers
• Send out messages and update my group
• Add valuable links and content to my profile…. things that people read on a regular basis

There are tons of things you can do on Facebook to build your personal brand, but you don't have to do all of them all at the same time.

The more active you are on Facebook, the more people will get to know who you are and the more you will LEARN from other people.

There are 2 types of activity you should be focusing on and obviously this depends on the amount of time you have available to you. I understand that you may be balancing a day job and a family at the same time but if you can spend a minimum of 10 hrs per week on building your business, you will have success.

1. Focus on Today Money and activity
2. Focus on building something for the future

1. Today Money is very important for you… without it, how can you afford to live? I recommend doing a little bit of both of the above tasks each day so you are earning an income today and doing activities that will benefit you today and you are also building your personal brand for your future.

My Today Money strategies are doing my social networking friending strategies across about 3 or 4 different social networks each day.

You can take the same strategy and the emails I've given you and use them on different social networks.

If you can spend 2 hrs per day following the permission based marketing friending strategy we use on Facebook, you will start to generate leads and prospects for your primary business very quickly.

You can then take the same strategy and use it to make friends on:

I've got profiles on each of the above sites and normally make about 20-25 new friends on each site each day. For now, just focus on Facebook.com, get good at it… make it a habit and then we can look at setting up your other social networking site profiles.

This is work that you CAN do RIGHT NOW…. and you'll get instant results. The other is building something for the future.

2. Building for the future…. This type of work includes:

• Learning, and continuous trainings through educational programs like Renegade University or Magnetic Sponsoring
• Building a blog and adding content to it on a regular basis
• Video Marketing
• Twitter Marketing
• Relationships building
• Setting up websites

These activities don't bring immediate results to your business but they definitely help your personal branding for the future.

I believe you need a balance between both of the above activities. Yes, you need money for today and you need to sponsor people into your business, but you also need to be branding yourself online so you can start to attract people into your business in the future.
